Norway's Johann Andre Forfang wins the qualifications!

Earlier this day we were able to watch the very first qualifications of the season. The best in them turned out to be the representative of Norway, Johann Andre Forfang.

20-year-old Norwegian already yesterday showed his jumping skills in the team competition. Even if due to Fannemel's disqualification we weren't able to watch Alexander Stöckl's proteges, Forfang in good style jumped 132,5 meters. Today in the qualification round young Norwegian left all his rivals far behind by jumping on the distance of 141 meters.
Second in the qualifications was Germany's Richard Freitag, who jumped 133 meters and on the third position placed representative of Slovenia Jurij Tepes with a distance of 131 meters. From the very good side show themselves representatives of Switzerland - experienced Simon Ammann and, quite surprisingly, his younger collegue Killian Peier. In the windy qualification round Ammann jumped 133 meters, while Peier only one meter shorter (132 meters). The Top 10 included also Russia's Evgeniy Klimov (125m), the best among the Japanese Taku Takeuchi (126,5m), Canada's Mackenzie Boyd-Clowes (127,5m), Germany's Andreas Wellinger (122m) and second of the young Norwegians Daniel Andre Tande with 127 meters.
Unfortunately due to irregular suit disqualified were Robert Kranjec and Vladimir Zografski.
Among the prequalified athletes, so the Top 10 of the last World Cup season, the best was the overall 2014/2015 World Cup winner Severin Freund, who jumped 137 meters. Second was Slovenia's Peter Prevc with a distance of 135,5 meters. Good jumps gave also Roman Koudelka (129m) and Michael Hayböck (128,5m).
