There are no doubts - the king of the first Continental Cup weekend in Kranj is one. His name is Dawid Kubacki. After great victory yesterday, the 25-year-old representative of Poland again proved to be the best on the normal hill in Slovenian Kranj (HS 109).

The second competition in Kranj turned out to be more interesting than the previous one. Thanks to good weather conditions we could watch long jumps, close to the hill size. But it was not the only reason why this competition held in suspense until the end. After the first round of the morning competition in Kranj no one could be sure of the victory. The leader was the representative of the hosts Peter Prevc, who thanks to jump on 109 meters managed to have a 6-point advantage ahead of his teammate Anze Lanisek and Dawid Kubacki, who placed ex aequo on the second position. Kubacki jumped on 107 meter and Lanisek landed two meters closer, on 105 meter.

Unfortunately Peter Prevc coulnd't defend his leader position and in the second round he jumped only 106 meters, while Kubacki flew on 111,5 meters. Eventually that gave the representative of Poland 1,2 point advantage ahead of Prevc, and he was the one who could once again rise his hands as a sign of the victory. Anze Lanisek, who was second after first round, eventually finished third, just behind his teammate, with the jump on a distance of 105,5 meters.

Just behind the podium placed the best of the Norvegians Daniel Andre Tande, who jumped 108,5 and 110,5 meters. Once again well performed another Slovene Miran Zupancic, who was 10th yesterday, Today he managed to improve and jump to the Top 5 with the distances of 108 and 109,5 meters. In the Top 10 of the competition placed also Karl Geiger from Germany (108 and 103,5 meters), Austria's Markus Schiffner (107,5 and 108,5 meters), two representatives of the Czech Republic Lukas Hlava (110 and 106 meters) and Jakub Janda (108 and 104 meters) and the Top 10 closed second of the Poles Bartłomiej Kłusek (105,5 and 106 meters).

Full results of the competition are available here.

Thanks to two victories Dawid Kubacki is also the leader of the overall classification of the Continental Cup with total score of 200 points. Second is Peter Prevc with 140 points and third Karl Geiger with 120 points.

The next competitions of the Summer Continental Cup will be held in Wisła (POL) on 8 and 9th of August.
