Andreas Wank wins Qualification in Wisla.

Andreas Wank from Germany takes the first Qualification of the 2015 Summer Grand Prix series. With a jump on 132m and 135.9 points he outpaced the two polish jumpers Piotr Zyla and Maciej Kot. Zyla showed 126.5m and gained 130.5 points while Kot jumped one meter further but gained 0.3 points less.

Andreas Wellinger came in fourth with 125.5m and 127 points followed by Dawid Kubacki with 132m and 124.9 points. Johann Andre Forfang finished on the six place and became best Norwegian of the day. 123.5m and 123.8 points behind him the next German and Newcomer of the last winter season Stephan Leyhe became seventh. His qualification jump was 124m and worth 123.5 points. The top ten was completed by Kenneth Ganges and Philipp Sjoeen from Norway (123m and 122m) and the polish local Stefan Hula 121.5m. As the best ten jumpers of the day just came from three nations, Germany, Poland and Norway, that may will be the battle for the first place in tomorrow’s team competition.
Best Austrian of the day who had to qualify was 2013/2014 4-Hills champion Thomas Diethart who jumped 118.5m and came in 17th with 113.5 point. It was a really good day for the Finnish Team with all three starters qualified. Janne Ahonen the best of them came in 15th and also comebacker Harri Olli on Rank 36 will compete in the first single competition of the new season.
Also both Italian competitors are qualified for Saturday’s single competition. Davide Bresadola came in 29th and Federico Cecon 33rd.
The longest jump of the pre-qualified athletes was made by Norway’s Anders Fannemel, who landed at 125.5m.
