Anze Semenic wins qualification,on brand new Planica ski flying hill

I know what you guys are feeling right now….you are all sad because the season is coming to an end, so do i, but we are going to enjoy ourselves with the last few races left on the brand new ski flying hill in Planica. HS 225, this is the biggest hill in the world and we all expect some crazy stuff to come out of it.

Anze Semenic fresh winner of this year CoC it is today’s qualification winner with a jump of 225.5 meters and a final score of 190.4 points. The slovenian ski jumper has finished ahead of Austrian Michael Hayboeck (226.5m / 187 pts) and Poland’s Kamil Stoch (217m / 184.4 pts). Big names such as Anders Jacobsen, Andreas Wank, Gregor Deschwanden didn’t make managed to qualify for the competition. The longest jump of this morning training on the brand new Letalnica hill, belong to Peter Prevc with 232.5 meters, as Gregor Schlierenzauer reached the 238.5m in the qualification round, only half meter away from what, once was the world record, set by former ski jumper Bjorn Einar Romoren. The new hill simply look stunning and very BIG. The ski jumpers can be sure that in Planica as in Vikersund can have a lot of fun. This coming weekend will also allow us to know who will become the new overall world cup winner for the 2014/15 winter season,- which presumably this title could lead to Germany- with Severin Freund leading the table with 94 points ahead of Prevc, and 175 points on Stefan Kraft. Unfortunately, the qualification round had to be delayed and postponed to 2:00 pm due to some inrun work on the brand new ski flying hill, but after that, everything went on well without any further problems.
