Lahti final day see Stefan Kraft winning today men competition.

We have left yesterday with Norway winning the team event in Lahti, on the opening of the Nordic tour. After the World championships, the world cup is back and ready to tell us who is going to succeed at Kamil Stoch as overall world cup champion. Will it be Peter Prevc,which this year for the young slovenian could be the right season to be crown champion, after three seasons in a row on high levels, with world championships and olympic medals around his neck, or this year Four Hills- Tournament winner Stefan Kraft? Let’s not forget a certain Severin Freund that could be the “surprise” winner for the end of the season in Planica. The only issue with the weather today, was the usual one, back wind, which didn’t helped some of the ski jumpers to get a proper distance, and made the competition a bit boring. But today’s winner Stefan Kraft has overcome this matter and grabbed the victory in front of a very joyful crowd. The first round passed by pretty slowly with not great action, - as said above,was a tiny boring to watch today- only toward the end of the first round we have had jumps over the 120’ meters. Anders Fannemel was the “winner” of R1 with the best distance 127.5 meters, followed up Stefan Kraft and Severin Freund, with the current WC leader left in the 4th place. In the final round things haven’t be any different, with only good jumps toward the end of the race. Kraft went close to the hill record - record which is held by former ski jumper Andreas Widhölzl with 135.5 meters-. However Kraft closed the day with a final score of 284.5 points in front of Severin Freund (273.2 points), and Anders Fannemel from Norway with a final score of (268 points). Despite the final 4th place Peter Prevc is still the leader of the table, with Stefan Kraft now reducing his distance by only 7 points. Freund is not that far either from the top of the table only 72 points behind.
