Another busy day in ski jumping, where after the first two medals, assigned on Friday, with the gold for the German Caterina Vogt, and the other one assigned yesterday to the Norwegian Rune Velta, on the NH, today was the turn of the mixed team competition where, to triumph above all was Germany. With a final score of 917.9, the germans has taken home the gold medal, with the norwegian team winning, the silver with 915.6 points, meanwhile Japan won bronze with a final score of 888.3 points.
So far, we cannot say that these were boring world championships, however was expected to see Germany being named as the favorite.
But already in the men event taken place yesterday, probably Velta was not really one of the favourites for the gold medal, and instead this sport has once again taught us, that in ski jumping, nothing has to be taken for granted.
Germany, it is a constant, it is always there in the best positions, and most of the times it finish on top - although lately there have been speculations regarding, Carina Vogt and her suit, judged by some as "irregular"-., Personally my belief is that "irregular" or not, you can have a thousand of suits, but without skills, and if the athlete doesn’t have the right qualities to jump off the hill, and fly away, these chances are very little.
Silver for Norway:

Norway, has taken the home for the second day in a row, another medal, after the gold won yesterday, today the norwegians has seen the likes of Line Jahr,Maren Lundby,Rune Velta and Anders Bardal color their neck with silver. The teams trained by Christian Mayer (ladies) and Alexander Stoeckl (men) can be more than satisfied with their guys, after today’s result, where Norway ended just 2.3 points behind the Germans.
Japan won the bronze, which means another medal for Nori!

The Japan of the likes of Takanashi and Kasai, today took the third step of the podium, taking home the bronze,at the mixed team event, where we have all saw the young Noriaki Kasai, to win another medal - I won't hide that I very much hope, for the evergreen Noriaki Kasai to win the gold medal on friday on the LH, also at the expense of those i cheer for-.
However it is now time for women to return home with a full loot and for some others with a wonderful memory, for men, there is yet to prepare for the single race this coming Friday on the LH, and then the final on Sunday, for the team competition, which, as mentioned above, the current Olympic champion, Germany, are the clear favorite for the gold medal.
