Hello everyone, ski jumping is back on the big hills, this time is in Willingen. It is also mark the return to the competitions of Finland Janne Ahonen - hill record holder with 152 meters- and Harri Olli. Unfortunately, Olli couldn’t make it to qualify for today’s race and Janne Ahonen didn’t managed to win a place for the final round, in a snowy Willingen.
As always Willingen is a very enjoyable venue, for everyone which love to watch and do ski jumping.
On the Mühlenkopfschanze (HS 145), today have taken place first the qualification round which has been won by the slovenian Jurij Tepes, earlier in the afternoon, than the competition. After the first round we have had in the top three places, Kamil Stoch (147.5m/140.5pts) Rune Velta (147.5m/131.0pts) and Peter Prevc (139.0m/128.3pts) In the second round not much has changed with Kamil Stoch securing his victory in today’s competition. Peter Prevc has managed to reach the second spot of the podium, after a non the same level jump by Velta which has jumped 137mì meters in the final round, losing two places and finishing 4th,behind Germany’s Severin Freund (6th in the first round) third today. There’s not much else to say about Willingen , except that from my own point of view is one of the most coolest hills around the world. Tomorrow will be again time of competition in the german village, so stay tuned.
