Home-Victory for Kubacki in Zakopane – Comeback for David Zauner Dawid Kubacki from Poland was able to win the first of two COC competitions in Zakopane. With jumps on 124.5m and 125m he reached 260.3 points, 4.1 points more than the second placed German Daniel Wenig. Wenig showed jumps on 120.5m and 124m. Ulrich Wohlgenannt from Austria finished third after a jump 123.5m in the second round, which let him climb five ranks compared to the first round. Behind the top three Karl Geiger came in fourth. The young German was second after the first round but a jump on 119.5m in the second round was not enough to reach the podium today. On the fifth place Jaka Hvala from Slovenia can be found. The best Slovenian of the day was in lead with a jump of 132m in the first round but lost this good position with only 110m in the second round. 0.6 points behind Hvala on the sixth place finished Markus Schiffner from Austria. Tow Slovenians follow Markus Schiffner on the positions seven and eight. Andraz Prograjc jumped 125.5m and 115.5m and lost two places compared to the first round ended up seventh. On the eighth place, after being 21st after the first round, finished Anze Lanisek with 234.2 points and 121.5m and 128m. The top ten was completed by Bartolomiej Klusek on nine and Robert Johansson on ten. Nearly two years after his last Top 30 COC result and many injuries David Zauner from Austria finished 23rd today. In his third COC after this long time he even was 15th after the first round with a jump on 126.5m but only 114m in the second round let him end 23rd. Tim Heinrich from Germany can celebrate a personal best result today. In his third ever COC he showed jumps on 122m and 113.5m and finished 25th. Andrea Morassi and Diego Dellasega competed for the Italian team in this competition. With jumps on 115m and 113m Morassi finished up 27th and gained some points. Diego Dellasega just jumped 101.5m and finished on Rank 44. You can find whole result here.
