Sapporo World Cup - Peter Prevc wins today

The winner of the 20th World Cup competition at the Okurayama hill in Sapporo is Peter Prevc from Slovenia. The second place belongs to Stefan Kraft from Austria and third one was Czech ski jumper Roman Koudelka.

The battle was dramatic up to the last minute. Today's victory from the Okurayama hill belongs to the best Slovenian of this season - Peter Prevc jumped 130 and 131 meters. One of his biggest World Cup rivals, Austrian Stefan Kraft (127,5 & 131 meters), was second. After the first round, Prevc and another Austrian Michael Hayböck (132m) splitted first place, but in the second round Hayböck's jump wasn't long enough, he jumped only 127 meters and finished fourth.

Czech Republic celebrates third place because of Roman Koudelka's great performance (127,5 & 130,5m). Jurij Tepeš is back - his shape gets better and better and I suppose we'll see his best flights at Letalnica or Vikersundbakken. Today he jumped 128 and 129 meters and finished fifth. The Japanese fans under the Okurayama hill were cheering their favorite jumper Noriaki Kasai. His third place after the first round was good (128m), but he finished six because of his short jump 122,5 meters long.

Seventh one was Kamil Stoch, eight one Anders Fannemel. We can say that for Vincent Descombes Sevoie, the ninth place is a great success - so is the tenth place for Manuel Poppinger from Austria. Tomorrow we'll see if they can repeat those jumpes, or even get better.
