Double Victory for Poland in Wisla!
Heavy rain and changing winds made the first COC competition in Wisla very challenging for both athletes and the jury. The competition was held in only one round with a double home victory for the hosting nation Poland.

Jan Ziobro could win his first COC with a jump on 120.5m and 123.9 points. Just 0.6 points behind Ziobro finished Klemens Muranka who jumped 119.5m. The podium was completed by the German Team Olympic Champion from 2014 in Sochi Andreas Wank who showed a jump on 115.5m and 120.5 points. Right behind Andreas Wank finished his team mate Karl Geiger with a jump on 122m and 118.3 points. Also Ilmir Hazetdinov from Russia made a strong competition in Wisla. A jump on 118m was good enough to reach the 5th place.
Poland showed a really close and good team performance today with Krzysztof Leja on the 6th place and Dawid Kubacki on Rank 10. The Top 10 was completed by the two Austrian Simon Greiderer, who showed the largest jump of the day with 133m and Elias Tollinger on 7 and 8. Tom Hilde from Norway finished up 9th.
Daniele Verasco from Italy can also be satisfied with his day as he reached the 24th place. And also the both Americans Michael Glasder on 19 and Anders Johnson on 21 made a good competition.
The overall COC leader still is Johann Andre Forfang from Norway ahead of his team mate Tom Hilde and the German Stephan Leyhe.
The next COC competition will be held at the same place tomorrow, hopefully with better weather conditions.
