Here is my statement from Innsbruck. I apologize I'm slightly behind, the time change makes it difficult.
"Freitag is the first German to win at Innsbruck in 13 years! What an exciting competition, the most exciting competition this season. Lots of far jumps, and a perfect atmosphere from the crowd. There were many wind holds, but the headwind made it very fun to watch.
Kraft and Hayboeck both had hill record setting jumps, but Freitag had two consistent jumps and was able to take the win for Germany. Kraft came in 2nd, and 3rd place was a tie between Kasai, and Ammann! This is the 2nd time they have tied for a podium spot this season. Its great to watch two legends in the sport tie, and be so happy for the other. It shows great sportsmanship. Hayboeck, Stoch, Freund, Jacobsen, Forfang, Zyla, all had one jump over 130, but couldn't do it twice. Forfang, Kraus, Leyhe, Fettner, all had a great competition and good results. Surprising me to not make the 2nd round Kofler and Velta, because they have been having a great tournee. Kraft leads the overall Tournee by 23.1pts over Hayboeck, which gives him a good lead going into Bischofshofen. Prevc is in third with Kasai, Freitag, and Jacobsen close behind. I think Kraft will win the over all 4 Hills Tournee, but places 2, and 3 will close.
Bischofshofen is a very different hill from the rest with its flat inrun. It's a flying hill. I think Hayboeck will get his first win tomorrow. Keep your eyes open for Ammann, and Kasai. Those guys are on a roll, and are really enjoying themselves. Ammann skipped qualification, but it seems to be a strategy thats working for him. Hayboeck won the qualification, but tomorrow we will see a new winner of the 4 hills."
