After yesterday cancellation due to strong wind and a heavy snowfall, the competition at the Schattenbergschanze has been postponed to today afternoon. The austrian ski jumper has impressed since the since the first round, with a good jump in a not so great (but compared to yesterday much better) conditions, jumping 136.5 meters with also the highest score of the day 149.6. In the final round he had a decent distance which made sure for the ski jumper to secure his first victory at this prestigious competition. At the second place we can find another Austrian, which despite Kraft being the winner of the day, Michael Hayboeck is the current main man of the team. His continuity and good performances, are a sure thing for Kuttin, also considering the not so state of shape of Gregor Schlierenzauer, and after losing Thomas Morgenstern for good, after his decision to retire. M.Hayboeck came second today, only 6.9 pts behind at only 6.9 pts difference. Third place for the slovenian ski jumper Peter Prevc with 283.9 pts. Is also right to mention, the great comeback made by Kamil Stoch, 4th today (274.9 pts), after his ankle surgery, kept him off the world cup, for the first part of the winter season. If the qualification round on Friday went well, pretty smoothly, the same cannot be said about yesterday non-existent race, after many posticipation of the race, the officials have decided to called it off and rescheduled for today. Today the weather conditions weren’t so bad as yesterday, with the snow which kept falling, and probably caused some problems to some athletes, but the wind at least wasn’t that bad as it was yesterday.

Doomed Four Hills Tournament for Simon Ammann:

The four time Olympic champion Simon Ammann was 34th after the first round. He had a very poor land, due probably at the snow. The swiss had good jump distance with 133 meters, but he only managed to get 109 pts ending at the 34th place in the table, and with this result won’t help his cause to try to win the only trophy is missing to his amazing wall full of awards. According to the news, Ammann said, his center of gravity was too far ahead. Then the new snow on the outrun slowed down his skies too much. This is why his thorax went forward and he lost his balance- his center of gravity was more or less his head- so he fell into the snow...then he looked down and couldn't say more. The day, didn’t go any better to others ski jumpers, like Lanisek, Koivuranta,Ziobro,Bresadola,Kubacki, just to mention a few. Let’s hope in better and more fair conditions for everyone in Garmisch for the new year. Four Hills Table at 29/12/2014 S.Kraft 291.9 M.Hayboeck 285.0 P.Prevc 283.9 K.Stoch 274.9 A.Kofler 274.8
