Gorm Johansson: The 4-Hills-Tournament finally started

The 4-Hills-Tournament finally started.

After a demanding day yesterday the first competition could happen today

with heavy snowfall and not too bad wind. Of course some changes, but we are outside -and sometimes this happens. Agan I think FIS makes a bad job. They are making too narrow coridors, and we can't make a jump in almost no wind. This is starting to be bad for our sport. Put on bigger suits, less speed, take away windpoints -and let the guys jump. Surely we will have surprises in the results but that is the way to do it. During a full season this will get equal and the best jumpers wil be on top.

And we will be able to have a nice competition with long jumps.

I would say that the Austrians started very good as a team, other nations where a bit disappointing. Poor Simi made a fall and destroyed this year's tournament (for him), I was expecting him to jump in final round, dont know why he did not. So he has to keep on one more year to take the overall. The race is on and some jumpers are in a good position for the rest of the tour. Now we move to Garmisch and hope it will be a good competition there. Dr,Johann
