First World Cup victory for Anders Fannemel!

23-year-old representative of Norway Anders Fannemel took his very first World Cup victory by winning today's competition on HS 134 in Nizhny Tagil. Talented Norwegian, who from today wears the yellow BIB of the World Cup leader, overtook Gregor Schlierenzauer and Severin Freund.

Anders Fannemel gave today two good jumps on 132 and 133 meters, which gave him the victory 5,8 points ahead of Gregor Schlierenzauer, which jumped on a distance of 129 and 133 meters. On the lowest step of the podium stood today Severin Freund, which reached 130,5 and 127 meters.

Just behind the podium the first of two planned competitions in Nizhny Tagil finished Stefan Kraft, which was ranked only 0,5 points behind Freund with jumps of 130,5 and 130 meters. The Top 5 of the competition closed Peter Prevc (127 and 124,5 meters), who thanks to today's good performance promoted on the second place of the general classification of the World Cup.

Worth mention results achieved today also: Anders Bardal (126,5 and 127m), Matjaz Pungertar (130 and 127m), Marinus Kraus (130 and 125,5m), Michael Hayboeck (124 and 128m) and Piotr Zyla (125,5 and 126 meters).

The second World Cup competition in Nizhny Tagil will be held tomorrow.
