Stephan Leyhe takes the first COC victory of the new season!
While the World Cup found it´s 4th station of the season in Nizhny Tagil/Russia, the COC season got kicked off in Rena/Norway.
With jumps on 108m and 106m the 22-year old German could celebrate his first COC victory ahead of Johann Andre Forfang. Just one point behind the Norwegian Kilian Peier completed the Top 3.

In a very close competition Daniel Wenig from Germany missed the podium with just 0.3 points. With one on the podium and Kenneth Gangnes, Tom Hilde and Philipp Sjoen on eight, nine and ten the Norwegians showed a very strong team performance. Best Austrian of the day was Manuel Fettner. Who finished on the 5th place just 0.2 points behind Daniel Wenig and one point ahead of his team mate Manuel Poppinger. The top 10 was completed by Stefan Hula from Poland who jumped 106m and 103.5m and ended up on the 7th place.
The best Slovenian of the day was Anze Semenic on the 14th place. While former world cup winter Jaka Hvala came in on the 29th place. Besides the winter Stephan Leyhe and strong Daniel Wenig, Danny Queck on Rank 16 was the only German to place himself in the Top 30.
With Anders Jacobsen, Gregor Deschwanden and Vladimir Zografski three world cup jumper found themself in the second half of the tableau or not even in the second round.
It was also the first appearance for jumpers of the World Championship host nation Sweden. With Rank 58, 60 and 61 for Christian Inngjerdingen, Carld Nordin and Jonas Sandell the Swedish Team showed that they still need to improve until February.
