Roman Koudelka won the individual competition on the large hill in Klingenthal, which opened the rivalry for the 2014/2015 Crystal Ball. For the 25-year-old Czech it was the very first victory in the World Cup.

After the first round and jump on 138 meter Koudelka was classified on the fourth place, but thanks to second jump on a distance of 139,5 meters he managed to take the lead and win the first in this season individual competition.
"It's an incredible feeling. I have a good form and a good feeling and the 1. place is unbelievable." - said Koudelka at the press conference, quoted by @vogtlandarenakl - "With our new coach Richard Schallert I'm confident that we will also get good places in Kuusamo and Lillehammer. I want to work hard this season-just like until now. I'm very strong right now and want to continue like this." - ended the winner.
The leader after the first round was the representative of the hosts Andreas Wellinger, who jumped 140 meters in good style, but weaker jump on 133,5 meter caused that eventually the young German finished this competition on the third place.
"I'm very satisfied and improved very well. Yesterday's team victory was amazing and so is today's 3. rank. The trial round was perfect to jump, the conditions went more difficult in the competition. The hill is prepared amazingly. The best won today!I have good feelings for the next competitions. It's hard to predict what the season will bring, I'm confident." - said Andreas Wellinger.
On the second step of the podium stood today the best among Austrians Stefan Kraft, which jumped 142 and 136 meters.
"I'm very happy about my 2. place. I had two great jumps but Roman was too strong for me. He deserved winning. Yesterday wasn't a fun day for us. We talked about what happened. Even FC Bayern loses sometimes. We focused on today. It was my wish to have a great start&it worked out. I feel good and want to continue like this. It could be a good season! We were surprised that the team competition went that way for us. It wasn't planned to struggle that much." - said Kraft.
Just behind the podium the competition ended Anders Fannemel (143 and 134 meters) Peter Prevc (133 and 136,5 m), Noriaki Kasai (133,5 and 134,5 m), Simon Ammann (134 and 134 meters), Markus Eisenbichler (138,5 and 129 m), Michael Hayböck (132 and 129,5m) and Richard Freitag (136,5 and 126 m).
Unfortunately just as in yesterday's competition we couldn't see on the hill Kamil Stoch, who suffered an ankle injury during Friday's warm-up. Instead of him started 18-year-old Slovene Anže Lanišek, who thanks to his 21st place earned his first World Cup points.
This weekend was really good for Roman Koudelka. He jumped equally and very well from the beginning of the trainings in Klingenthal until the end of the individual competition - let us recall that Czech was the best during the qualifications and trial rounds. Is that a beginning of a promising season in execution of Koudelka? We will see.
