Gorm Johansson: Team Competition in Klingenthal

Finaly we have started with the real competitions. Klingenthal showed itself as usual. A lot of spectators who made a lot of noise. This is the way we like to see it.

The area around is like many places now. No snow, but the hill is white and looks nice. Of course the snow who has been made in many warm degrees is not like the best snow. this is ice. but again they had made the hill ok in the landingarea. some work had to be done in stoppinarea. but that also went fine. All in all this was a nice arene for skijumping.When we are in klingen. Wind can be a problem, but not today, some smal differenses of course, but realy nothing to talk about.When we se the New suits. i realy cant see mutch differenc from last yeares, a bit bigger it is. The competition went on with a lot of good jumps. as it went on we could see that some surprices would happen.Austria nr 8 is quite a big surprise, even bigger and a nice surprise was the Finnish team. they made a strong fourth Place,German team won a strong victory on homeground followed by Japan and Norway. a bit surprising podium. Have also to say that the Slovenians was not in the shape i expected.

Tomorrow is the real thing starting with indiviual competition. Looking forward to that.
