The last victory in this season for Sara Takanashi!

Young Japanese Sara Takanashi definitely was unbeatable in this season. Even if she already had the Crystal Ball and the second in a row World Cup winner title, she was still fighting for the best results and confirmed her leader position. I today's World Cup competition, which was held in Slovenian Planica, she set a new ladies' hill record. We surely can say that Bloudkova Velikanka, so the Planica's big hill, and also the current season belonged to her.

Her results in this season are incredible. She was standing on the podium in every World Cup competition, took 15 victories, what is a new record in number of individual victories in a single seaso and earned 1720 of 1800 possible points in the general classification. The one and only little defeat was the Olympic competition in Sochi, where she missed the podium and finished 4th. In the last World Cup competition of this season Takanashi jumped 135 and 132,5 meters and set the new ladies' record of this hill. Second place today took her compatriot, 19-year-old Yuki Ito, who thanks to jumps of 128,5 and 125 meters moved up in the World Cup overall classification to third place. On the lowest step of the podium of the very last competition of this season stood representative of France Julia Clair, who jumped 131,5 and 124 metets. It was the first World Cup podium in her career.

Just behind the podium competition ended representative of Norway Line Jahr, who jumped 122 and 126,5 meters. Fifth place belonged to Jessica Jerome (117 and 124m), sixth was representative of the hosts Maja Vtic (125 and 119,5m), seventh position took Ulrike Graessler (124,5 and 126m), eighth was Anna Haefele (121 and 123m) and the Top 10 closed Maren Lundby (117 and 116m) and Irina Avvakumova (121 and 122,5m).

The Nations Cup 2013/2014 went to Japan, which won with over 600 point advantage ahead of Germany and Slovenia. Full list of the Nations Cup standings available here.

As it was mentioned earlier the World Cup 2013/2014 went to Takanashi, who won the title for the second time in a row with over 900 point advantage ahead of the Olympic Champion Carina Vogt from Germany and Yuki Ito. Complete Ladies' World Cup standings available here.
