Anders Bardal is today winner in Trondheim: Photo by Kathrin Müller © Skijumpingitaly Trondheim, I must admit that I like this hill, "not boring" at all and people have always the chance to see good jumps, like yesterday during the qualification round won by the japanese Reruhi Shimizu, while on the same day Severin Freund has set the new hill record with a jump of 141.5 meters. The world cup leader Kamil Stoch and home town boy Anders Bardal had jumps of 139.5 in the training round. So no, Trondheim is not a boring place at all, like maybe some other ski jumping hills could be. Anders Bardal with two good jumps 136.5 and 131 meters with a final score of 269.3 pts, has won his second world cup race of the season, today in Trondheim and reached his 30th world cup podium. The norwegian ski jumper, which throughout the season has been the only one, in Stöckl team to be very consistent and always managed to end up at points, but today in a very crowded Trondheim the bronze medal on the NH in Sochi, gained the highest place on the podium for the joy of the norwegian spectators. Kofler is back on the podium:

Kofler, found two very good jumps pretty much the same meters jumped by Bardal, 136.5 and 131.5 meters, but ended behind the norwegian for a 4.4 pts of difference. Kasai a true inspiration for all:

Noriaki Kasai cannot be described in any other ways, if not as an inspiration for each young kids who wants to become a professional athlete not just a ski jumper. The soon to be 41 years old, gained today his 50th podium in career. Big numbers for someone that usually at his age is already retired, but Kasai is different. The japanese veteran even despite the pain he has on his knee – that is why he is not taking part at each official training session, to preserve his energies, and avoid the pain- he ended on the podium today, again, and I’ve kinda hoped that he would have won today. Disastrous Prevc, didn’t qualify for the final round, Stoch 9th today:

Today has been a day full of surprises, on top of the list, there is the disastrous performance by Peter Prevc, which have missed out the qualification to the final round. In fact the slovenian ski jumper have managed to get just a jump of just 116.5 meters, not very much of him. Kamil Stoch on the other hand has finished at 9th place today, which is a bit unusual for him lately, we were starting to get used to see him winning each race, but his gap on Prevc still intact and it is now at 132 pts.Another a non satisfying performance for Simon Ammann, the swiss has in fact ended at the 30th place of the table today, with his team mate Gregor Deschwanden finishing 10 places ahead, at 20th place. From worse to good, performances: Reruhi Shimizu as already said above won yesterday qualification round, but today shown it wasn’t just yesterday that the japanese had a good feeling on the norwegian hill. Shimizu has finished in the top 10 today at the 5th place only 4.8 pts from the third place on the podium. From Japan to Czech Republic with the very good result of Roman Koudelka, the Czech ski jumper which had to fought against some back problem and didn’t really had a 100% season, today finished with his best results of the season at the 4th place. Anssi Koivuranta, has once again finished into the top ten with the 10th place, with more points gained, and at the moment can be named as the main man for the finnish ski jumping team. Lauri Asikainen ended at the 17th place. Good result also for slovenian Jernej Damjan which finished at the 6th place of the table today. Consuelo Conte [@KokkaMufc]
