Kamil Stoch getting closer to the overall world cup title:

Kuopio today's winner is once again Kamil Stoch, the polish ski jumper is at his 8th victory of the season.
The two times Olympic champion, has now increased his gap on Peter Prevc -4th today- of 103 pts, with two jumps of 126.5 meters, and a 12.7 points difference with the 4th placed today made it sure that the polish ski jumper wouldn’t have any other contenders for the victories today. Severin Freund -second today- was left behind of 3.9 pts, while Bardal -third on the podium today- 5.1 pts. Kamil Stoch season began in a “shy” way, in fact his first victory of the season came on the final race of the weekend in Titisee-Neustadt (9th event of the winter season). But slowly and deservedly the polish athlete grown his leadership and confidence, which did not just helped him out to win two gold medals in Sochi, but also giving him the belief he could have achieved much more after the Olympics, so it seems to be going. Severin Freund again on the podium: Severin Freund is seems to be very attached to the podium places lately, in fact the german ski jumper is at his 6th podium place in a row since Germany’s victory in the team event in Sochi. The ski jumper from Freyung (GER) is at this moment the best man in Werner Schuster team. Who doesn’t seems to be in the best shape is Richard Freitag which struggled the whole season. The 25 year old now is getting closer to catch Peter Prevc second place - which still have 141 pts of advantage- in the world cup table. Anders Bardal once again the best amongst the norwegian: Anders Bardal is once again the best amongst the norwegian contingent. Norway has in fact had a so and so season so far, with the likes of Tom Hilde and Andreas Stjernen on top of the list, not being at their very best, so much so that they had to watch the Olympics from their tv at home. Anders Jacobsen, after the knee surgery for the injury the past season, is still not 100% at his best, Anders Fannemel on the other hand is the one which might have gave to Stöckl more relief coming as the second best after the bronze medal on the NH in Sochi. Gregor...Deschwanden is the future for Switzerland? Gregor Deschwanden won today qualification round, in Kuopio and managed to end the competition in the 15th place, with his team mate and four times Olympic champion finishing 5th today, not bad results at all for the Swiss team, which didn’t had the best Olympic campaign this year. Finland is coming back with baby steps: Ville Larinto-21st today- had a good ski jumping weekend after been forced out for a very long time. In fact he hasn’t had the best couple of years with two knee injuries which kept him out for a long time, but during this Finnish weekend he gave signs to be on his way back to where he deserve to stay, into the World Cup ski jumping.Anssi Koivuranta has once more giving prove of himself 13th today, another top 15 performance, with his fellow team mate Lauri Asikainen 17th at the end of the final round. Next stop will be in Trondheim on Friday.
