Kamil Stoch wins in Lahti and improve his leadership on Prevc The two times Olympic champion in Sochi, Kamil Stoch has won the race in Lahti today, finishing ahead of Severin Freund, and Gregor Schlierenzauer. The polish ski jumper, is now looking the favorite for the overall world cup title, even if we still are few races away from the end of the season. Stoch has never been so competitive and constant as he is at this very moment. Maybe the two gold medals won in Russia, has finally opened Kamil eye’s on his real potential. Since Fiemme 2013 the polish ski jumper have put continues good performances one after the other. The same can also be said about Prevc, but Stoch seems to be one step ahead of the Slovenian athlete. Freund was also part of the podium today after his latest two victories in Falun and Lahti (day one). The German ski jumper, won the gold medal in the team event in Sochi two weeks ago, has had a very good run, with positive results, ended with four podiums in four races in a row. Schlierenzauer back on the podium again. Despite Severin Freund very good performances, Gregor Schlierenzauer has struggled a bit this season and didn’t had the best year of his career. Yes few podium and a silver medal with Austria in Sochi and the victory in the team event in Lahti on Saturday, but this is not what people expect when your name is Gregor Schlierenzauer. All in all for Pointner men it was a good weekend in Lahti with good performances from every one especially from Kraft and Diethart. Tomorrow qualification round from Kuopio.
