Sara Takanashi dominates in Rasnov and wins the overall World Cup!

18-year-old representative of Japan in this winter season is second to none. The exception was the Olympic Games in Sochi, where the favored Takanashi failed in a battle for medals. Now, when her biggest rivals suffer from injuries, she had much easier way to take the victory in Rasnov and secure the overall World Cup victory five competitions before the end of the season.

Sara Takanashi took her 12th victory in this season and gave today two good jumps on distances of 100,5 and 99 meters. "This is my first time ever in Romania. I was impressed with the good condition of the jumping hill, considering the warm weather, which I was a bit nervous about at first. I am very happy with the result I managed to obtain today" - said Takanashi.

She won clearly, with over 25-point advantage ahead of Norway's Maren Lundby, who jumped 96 and 89 meters. Third place in today's competition took another Japanese Yuki Ito with results of 95,5 and 87,5 meter.

In the forefront of the competition were also representative of France Julia Clair (89 and 90m) and Russian Irina Avvakumova (95 and 84m). The top ten also included Julia Kykkaenen (88.5 and 92m), Ulrike Graessler (90.5 and 86m), Lea Lemare (89 and 89m), Coline Mattel (91 and 87m) and Katja Pozun (86.5 and 88.5 m).
