Severin Freund is today's winner in Falun: Photo by Kathrin Müller © Skijumpingitaly Ski jumping is back, after the two intensive weeks in Sochi for the Olympic Games, and back with a victory for the gold medalist on the team event Severin Freund. The german ski jumper continues is winning streak, also with the new hill record with 135 meters jumped in the final round. The race wasn’t the most breathtaking one of the season, but went well quite smoothly, despite some tiny wind issues. Freund taken the lead with his first jump (133m /132.2 pts ) leaving behind him Kasai (133m/125.2 pts) and Anders Fannemel -today 6th with his team mate Anders Bardal- (129m/122.9 pts). Peter Prevc is the new table leader:

An unpredictable but very exciting end of season is ahead of us. Kasai made the podium…..again!

The final season recap should be mostly dedicated to one single ski jumper, Noriaki Kasai. The soon 42 year old made the podium again this season, and after his sensational silver medal on the LH and Bronze on the TE in Sochi, the japanese made it also today, despite a possible injury on his right knee. After the first round the ski jumper looked like he suffered an injury on his right knee and then the pain it looked more evident after the final jump on the final round where Nori was caught by the camera kneeling after his jump. This after all didn’t stopped him to give another lesson to every sportsmen (not matter what’s your sport is), never give up, always give your 100% and sometimes more.
