The Olympic Games for ski jumping are over and Germany has tonight been crowned Olympiasieger (Olympic champion)! Andreas Wellinger, Andreas Wank, Marinus Kraus and Severin Freund brought back the Olympic gold medal to Germany after their last one in Salt Lake, in 2002. When Werner Schuster joined Germany as new head coach, he made his point clear, he wanted to build a team for the long terms, the future has to be brilliant for the Germans, and slowly they got back at the highest levels, and finally tonight they also got back on top of Olympia! Schuster hasn’t been afraid to leave the veterans like Neumayer out of the Olympic team, as he hasn’t been afraid either to prefer youngsters to such a legend in this sport as Martin Schmitt (Schmitt which retired early this year after his last appearance in Willingen last month). We can only try to suggest what’s Germany secret is, to this well deserved result. The effort that everybody put into their work has finally paid them all off. They also beaten the Austrian today, which was going after their third consecutive gold medal in the team event in the Olympic Games (2006/2010) but which had to stop in front of a stronger Germany. The German have won with a short points difference, but soon after the first round it was pretty much clear how the podium would have been after the final round. The competition went well, with some wind problems as per usual, but it went smoothly well after all. We haven’t see the best of Norway, or Slovenia, but even there it was reasonable with Kranjec not at his best after the bad fall suffered few days ago during the training jumps. I won’t and i don’t wanna write about the usual results, it’s pointless because everybody have watched the competition, i wanna write about via my emotions, the emotions that this sport has once again granted me today. I wanna write about people like Thomas Morgenstern that after two awful fall in two weeks, has made his dream to compete in Sochi, come true. No one would have blamed him if he decided to not go to Sochi, it would have been pretty much understandable if he wouldn’t want to go, instead Morgi, went there despite everything, and as every winner he will now fly back home with another medal on his neck. Peter Prevc is a real pleasure for the eyes to watch him when he is in the air, the guy is a pure talent, he make looks everything so easy, when is not. I think a bit of everyone was expecting to see Slovenia on the podium today, but it didn’t turned out to be like that for Goran Janus team. The same goes for Poland that has had a bit of ups and downs with their jumps, but found in Kamil Stoch (two times Olympic champion on the NH and LH) their hero. I wanna give to Morgi a 10+ vote for his courage, devotion and passion that he putted into these two weeks of Olympics after all he went through.

Another Olympic and another 0 individual gold medal for Gregor Schlierenzauer, this guy is winner,he won everything was possible to win, but still he missed out the biggest one,the Olympic gold medal on an individual race, but Schlierenzauer has all the time in the world to win it and if Kasai has managed at 41 to win two medals in two days, Gregor don’t have to worry.Noriaki Kasai, dear Nori,i don’t even know what else to say about you, two medals in two days. What’s more inspiring than you in this sport i don’t know.

I am beyond happy for this man, i can honestly tell you i was hoping for Japan to win the gold, because Kasai literally deserved to win the gold at this Olympic, but he can be happy he won’t leave Sochi in empty hands. For him my vote is a little bit higher 10+++ Consuelo Conte [@KokkaMufc]
