First victory in Brotterode for Karl Geiger!

Representative of Germany Karl Geiger won today in the CoC competition held in Brotterode (HS 117) ahead of his teammate Markus Eisenbichler. Double victory for the Germans took place in the shadow of now played Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.

21-year-old German took the victory with jumps on 116 and 115,5 meters and over 12-point advantage ahead of his older compatriot Eisenbichler, who gave two jumps on 114 meters. On the lowest step of the podium stood Stefan Kraft from Austria with jumps on distances of 114,5 and 113,5 meters.

Just behind the podium the competition finished the best among the Poles Klemens Muranka, who jumped 114 and 110,5 meters. On the fifth placed current leader of the CoC overall ranking Slovenia's Nejc Dezman, who in the first round jumped on 118 meter, but in the final round he gained only 112,5 meters.

In the Top 10 of the competition were also: Matjaz Pungertar (112,5 and 113m), Daniel Wenig (111 and 110,5m) ex aequo with Markus Schiffner (111,5 and 115m), Cestmir Kozisek (114,5 and 111m) and Rok Justin (110 and 118m).

There are still two individual CoC competitions ahead of us, which will be played in Brotterode on Saturday and Sunday.
