Next victory for Eisenbichler – Kobayashi again second!

Markus Eisenbichler could repeat his victory from the previous day and won the last competition in Sapporo considerably. With jumps on 136.5m and 137m he could outpace Junshiro Kobayashi with nearly 30 points. On the third place, with five points behind Kobayashi the Slovenian Robert Hrgota completed the Top 3. The 4th place surprinsgly went to Dusty Korek from Canada who could climb 15 Ranks in the second round thanks to jump on 139m which was the farest jump of the day. Strong Norwegian Simen Key Grimsrud who was third in the first competition on the big hill was 5th today with jumps on 119.5m and 129.5m Danny Queck and Pius Paschke on 6 and 10. proved again that they are in good shape and also with four athletes in the Top 13 the Germans showed that they have the stronges team at the moment.
(Robert Hrgota - A Bärbel Schulze picture) Anze Semenic on 7 and current COC leader Nejc Dezman on 9 also reached a Rank in the Top 10. Sorin Iulian Pitea had a very strong day. With jumps on 114.5m and 124.5m he was just one point behind Stefan Hayböck on the 12th place. And also his teammate Eduard Torok made it to the second round – a strong day of Team Romania. Also the Swiss guys did a good job again with Gregor Deschwanden on the 8th place and Pascal Kaelin on a shared 14th rank with Andraz Prograjc. Nico Polychronidis was very close to a top ten result today but 105m in the second round were to less and he fall back on the 21st place. Due to no snow the next weeks COC in Bischofshofen/Austria is cancelled and we will see the next competition in two weeks in Planica/Slovenia. 1. Markus Eisenbichler 287.8 2.
