Michael Hayböck wins the qualification in Zakopane!

Representative of Austria Michael Hayböck turned out to be the best in the qualification round before individual competition in Zakopane (HS 134), which will be held on Sunday. Talented Austrian gave a jump on a distance of 128 meters and took the victory ahead of the representative of Russia Mikhail Maksimochkin, who jumped 130,5 meter and surprisingly took the second place which is his the best result in career. Third in the qualifications was German Andreas Wank, who thanks to jump on 124,5 meter not only qualified to the competition with a good result, but also received a nomination to the German national team, which will compete on the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.

Just behind the Top 3 in the qualifications placed Jan Matura from the Czech Republic with jump on 125 meters. Fifth position took the best among representatives of Norway Anders Fannemel, who with a result of 123 meters proved that he can jump well on big hills. Finland's Anssi Koivuranta still amazes everyone with his great jumps in this season - in qualifications he finished sixth with a 123-meter jump and he has a big ambition to reach the podium again ahead of Polish crowd. The best among the representatives of the hosts was Dawid Kubacki who jumped on 131,5 meters and received a chance to perform in Saturday's team competition. Jernej Damjan from Slovenia, who performed well in this year's Continental Cup finished the qualification round on the eighth place with a result of 131 meters. The Top 10 closed Pole Klemens Muranka, who jumped on 123 meters and Norwegian Rune Velta, who also jumped on a distance of 123 meters.

His fans absolutely disappointed experienced representative of Germany Michael Neumayer, who with a jump on 115 meters did not manage to qualify to the Sunday's competition.

The best performances of the pre-qualified ski jumpers showed Gregor Schlierenzauer (126,5m), Anders Bardal (125,5m) and Thomas Diethart (123,5m). At the start of the qualidications did not appear winner of the competition in Wisla Andreas Wellinger, Slovenian Peter Prevc and the current World Cup winner Kamil Stoch.
