First World Cup victory for Irina Avvakumova, Takanashi's domination ended!

22-year old representative of the hosts Irina Avvakumova was third after first round of the Ladies' World Cup competition in Tchaikovsky, but the second jump gave her victory in today's competition ahead of Carina Vogt and Sara Takanashi. Thanks to good performance Avvakumova broke the winning streak of Sara Takanashi who was unbeatable since the beginning of this season. With jumps on a distanced od 100 and 101,5 meters representative of Russia took her first in career World Cup victory. Second place took Carina Vogt from Germany who jumped 101 and 99 meters and third was Takanashi, who jumped twice 98.5 meters. Just behind the podium the competition finished another German ski jumper Katharina Althaus with two jumps of 97 meters, fifth was the leader after 1st round Coline Mattel with jumps of 100 and 97 meters. Sixth was Ema Klinec from Slovenia with result of 99 and 97,5 meters and seventh was experienced representative of Austria Daniela Iraschko-Stolz with jumps of 99 and 96,5 meters. The Top 10 closed Eva Logar (94,5 and 98m), Katja Pozun (95,5 and 94m) and Julia Kykkaenen (91,5 and 97,5m). After the weekend in Tchaikovsky, Russia the leader of Ladies' World Cup overall standings is still Japanese Sara Takanashi with 460 points, second is now Irina Avvvakumova with a total of 315 points and third is Carina Vogt with 306 points. Unfortunaly to the fourth position fell Daniela Iraschko-Stolz who has on her account 277 points. by Anna Sobol [@AnneAZS]
