Anders Fannemel wins qualification in Innsbruck
03/01/2014 18:33
Here we are again, with the third race event o f the 62nd 4 Hills – Tournament.
On new year’s day we all enjoined ourselves, with a very good ski-jumping competition in Garmisch, with the young Thomas Diethart (AUT) grabbing his first ever victory in a World Cup event, on one of the most prestigious races in ski jumping. It was written in the stars that Thomas had to win a race, since his very good start in this year’s tournée, in Oberstdorf he won the qualification round and came second behind a strong Ammann. But today in Innsbruck was a different story, with the wind (once again this season) being present and not giving a proper chance to perform, but this is ski-jumping. We haven’t seen too many long jumps, in fact the most of the jumpers were all on the 115m distance, only a few have gone over the 120’s. One of them was Anders Fannemel, winner of today qualification at the Berg Isel, with a 127m distance, with a score of 126.8 pts. Second today was Wolfgang Loitzl, the austrian came second behind the Norwegian with a 126.5m and 124.4 pts, third was Marinus Kraus of Germany, with a distance of 127m and 121.2 pts. The longest distance of the day goes to Denis Kornilov (RUS) with 128 meters. Tomorrow it will be very interesting so get ready in time, because some of nice KO will take place. Both Simon Ammann, and Thomas Morgenstern didn’t started today.
