Oberstdorf: Anders Bardal wins qualification to the first 4HT competition ahead of Noriaki Kasai and Simon Ammann!

Anders Bardal is today qualification winner: Photo Kathrin Müller © - Skijumpingitaly It is time to begin one of the best event in ski jumping world - Four Hills Tournament! This competitions are loved by the fans and athletes from all over the world. We will see who will be the champion this year. I am sure that this event will bring us a lot of emotions. Anders Bardal from Norway was the best in qualification to Sunday's competition in Oberstdorf. He jumped at 134,0m and took special prize - 2 000€. Second was Noriaki Kasai with his awesome jump at 135,0m. Third place belonged to "the Smiling Warrior" - Simon Ammann (131,5m). It seems that both "older", positive ski jumpers - Ammann and Kasai - can fight for great place in 4HT or even win it! Big surprise may be the performance of young Austrian Thomas Dietrich. He jumped at 135,5m and took 4th place. 5th was Peter Prevc - 134,0m. 6th place belonged to the Overall World Cup leader Kamil Stoch, just behind him was second in Overall Classification Gregor Schlierenzauer. 8th was Thomas Morgenstern who returned after his injury. 9th and 10th place belonged to Severin Freund and Taku Takeuchi. As we all know one of the special rules of 4HT is knock-out system. Besides of normal competition they "fight" in pairs: "The 50 competitors are divided into 25 pairs. All 25 winners of these duels plus the five best losers qualify for the second round" Sunday's competition starts at 16:30 (trial round - 15:00). Who do you think will win?
