Kamil Stoch: Photo Kathrin Müller © Skijumpingitaly After a not so easy start of the season, ski jumping is back on, also this weekend, and it’s from Titisee Neustadt (Ger). The weather conditions which have caused so much issues lately, today were more than good,so much so, that we all have been able to enjoy ski jumping without any sort of breaks caused by the weather. There has been some really good jumps, especially from the ones that usually struggles to get through the qualification round, one of this jumps came from Roberto Dellasega for Italy, which have seen the italian ending at the 21st spot of the final table after a jump of 133 meters, with a scored of 130.8 pts. Roberto team mate - and also the main man for Italy at the moment - Davide Bresadola has also qualified for tomorrow’s competition despite a jump which is not at is current best. Strong performances also came by the usual teams, Poland , Slovenia, Germany, good signs also for Norway which have struggled a bit at the start of the season, but which is now getting back in a good place, also thanks to the ones like, Fannemel, Bardal, Velta, to not forget the good performance today from Ole Marius Ingvaldsen 19th today. Poland and Slovenia are the ones with the majority of athletes into the top ten, three each. Kamil Stoch winner of the qualification, Kot 5th and Zyla 7th, while for the slovenian,Tepes 6th, Hvala 8th and Prevc 9th. What is catching more my eyes, is the lack of austrians into the today’s top ten, just one with Stefan Kraft 10th. In the past people were more used to see the names of the austrian team everywhere, but it the past two season things have been a bit changed, despite the fact they have in their team, probably the best ski jumper of all time, in Gregor Schlierenzauer. The longest jump of the day went to someone which is already qualified for tomorrow’s competition, Andreas Wellinger with 139 meters. The qualification round went well very smoothly, very good to watch and let’s hope that the weather stay like this for the whole weekend, so that the ski jumpers will all compete in fair conditions. Here the top 5 of the day : Kamil Stoch (Pol) 136.5 / 143.4 pts Simon Ammann (Sui) 137.5 / 140.3 pts Andreas Wank (Ger) 137.0 / 139.6 pts Anders Fannemel (Nor) 135.5 / 137.4 pts Maciej Kot (Pol) 135.0 /137.1 pts
