The first mixed-team competition victory of the 2013/14 season belongs to the Japanese jumpers - Yuki Ito, Daiki Ito, Sara Takanashi and Taku Takeuchi. They won by a 40 points advantages over Austria! After the first round Daniela Iraschko-Stolz, Jacqueline Seifriedsberger, Gregor Schlierenzauer and Thomas Morgenstern were leaders but in the final Japan won. At the lowest step of the podium we could see Maren Lundby, Anders Bardal, Rune Velta and Anette Sagen. They presented stabile and good form but it was not enough to win on their domestic hill.

Final results of mixed team competition:

1. Japan (942.1 points)

2. Austria (901.9 points)

3. Norway (887.5 points)

4. Germany (883.6 points)

5. Slovenia (876.6 points)

6. Italy (840.4 points)

7. France (829.7 points)

8. Canada (766.9 points)

___________________

9. Russia (383.6 points)

10. Switzerland (379.6 points)

11. Finland (360.4 points)

12. Czech Republic (357.7 points)

13. USA (357.5 points)

14. Poland (331.8 points)

Thomas Morgenstern proved that he is absolutely back in form and that he also might be better than Gregor Schlierenzauer at this moment as the latter had a weak try of 85m. Germany missed the podium by 3.9points,due to mistakes of the ladies in the team, while team Italy can be satisfied with rank six.

The fans of Polish ski-jumpers can be happy because for the first time in history they could watch them in a mixed-team competition! Magdalena Pałasz and Joanna Szwab made their debut in World-Cup in a team along with Kamil Stoch and Maciej Kot. The results maybe aren't good but we believe that when they gain more experience it will be better for sure!

During this windy competition young Karl Geiger broke the record of the hill, which belonged to Andreas Kofler (105m). The young German jumped 107,5m! It seems that he really likes this place and may be strong in the following individual competition. The longest jump from the women this day belongs to Sara Takanashi - 100m.

Unoficial individual results:

1. Taku Takeuchi (JAP) 104.0m 100.5m 264.5 points

2. Thomas Morgenstern (AUT) 97.0m 104.0m 250.8 points

3. Maren Lundby (NOR) 98.5m 97.0m 246.2 points

Comment of the day by Gregor Schlierenzauer:

Today my team repaired it, 2nd place.

Comment of the day by Walter Cogoli, Italian coach:

For Italy it has been a very good result, all four athletes jumped on their current maximum. Davide Bresadola has a very good form, while Sebastian Colloredo could improve in the final round. But I think he’s only at about 70% of his condition. Regarding the ladies I think Elena Runggaldier has a good performance but also Evelyn Insam isn’t until now, where she can be.

The next competitions are on Saturday and Sunday. So stay tuned for the next reports!
