This day in German Klingenthal (HS 140) certainly belonged to Polish ski jumper Piotr Zyla, who won two training rounds and also took the victory in qualifications for the individual competition!

The best of the ski jumpers who had to attend the qualification proved to be the representative of Poland, Piotr Zyla, who earned in his jump 137,5 meters. "It's a very nice feeling to win. My jump was very good and I'm happy about this victory!" - told Zyla @vogtlandarenakl right after the victory in qualification. Second place went to Norwegian Anders Fannemel (138m), and the third was Dawid Kubacki (135,5m). In the forehead were also: Andreas Kofler (138m), Jan Ziobro (136m), Marinus Kraus (132,5m), Jurij Tepes ( 132.5 m), Karl Geiger (132m), Janne Ahonen (130m) and Simon Ammann (133,5m).

SkiJumpingItaly 2013 - (c) Kathrin Müller Today was long awaited not only by fans, but also by the althletes themselves, who wanted to see the shape in which their rivals are. After today's qualifications and trainings we surely can say that the beginning of the season for the Polish ski jumpers is much better than the previous one, when it was vain to seek the shape from summer - today three of them took places in the Top 10. Huge surprise was also the great comeback of experienced Finland's Janne Ahonen, who in summer returned for the second time to ski jumping after two year break. Certainly, he proved his worth to all by jumping on the distance of 130 meters and taking 9th place in qualification. In a good shape is also the World Cup winner of last season - Gregor Schlierenzauer, who jumped in qualification on the distance of 139,5 meters. Strong in Klingenthal is also the World Champion from Val di Fiemme Kamil Stoch, who jumped today on the distance of 145 meters! "It was nice to fly that far. Of course I am very happy that I jumped so well. During the summer we trained a lot. I am very optimistic about this season. Now I am in great shape and I enjoy my jumps. We have a very strong team and good young athletes. I am happy that we have so many ski jumpers on a high level. This is the effect of work. I do not think about the results, I just hope we will be jumping well. If we will do our best, I think we will be satisfied." - told Stoch.

Tomorrow in the team competition beside Kamil Stoch we will see Piotr Zyla, Dawid Kubacki and Krzysztof Biegun. Will they be as strong as today? The weekend in Klingenthal seems to be very exciting.
