When at the end of the past season we came out with the news of Janne Ahonen’s comeback we also asked at the time if people were happy about Janne’s come back and what their / your thought was. Some of you weren’t agree with Janne decision to come back to ski jumping, while for some others of you, it was one of the best news. No one can deny that last year was a really awful one for Finland, and that they’ve been missing someone like Ahonen. Once the summer season began, Ahonen results also started to caught the attention, probably more the attention of the doubters rather than the believer's one. Yesterday after the competition in Courchevel Ahonen ended at the 15th place, the week earlier in Wisla ended at the 27th place while in Hinterzarten he finished at the 7th place. These are not bad results for a 36 year old athlete which has been absent from all the competitions and new rules for about two years. Today Ahonen has once more gave the prove that he decided to make his comeback to go back on top where he always spent the majority of his professional career, by winning the qualification round on the Andreas Küttel Schanze in Einsiedeln. Is still a long way to go to the winter season and to Sochi, but like in other sports, the willing to do well always help to succeed and Ahonen's will it never went lost. Here’s the top three of the day in qualification round: Janne Ahonen (FIN) 114.5m / 133.5 pts. Piotr Zyla (POL) 114.0m / 132.8 pts. Daiki Ito (JAP) 113.5m / 131.7 pts.
