With two 132.5 meters jumps Andreas Wellinger proclaims himself as the king of Wisla. The young german dominated the two rounds of the competition and gets his first win in the major circuit, as well as the lead of the Summer Grand Prix.
Technically speaking, the seventeen years old showed a very good condition, with a powerful but fluid take off which made him maintain most of the inrun speed.
Behind Wellinger, the home-athlete Maciej Kot and a surprising Roman Koudelka placed second and third. The polish was second also after the first run, while the czech gained many positions in the second leg with an impressive 131.5 meters jump.
From the fourth to the eight position there is an alternance of german and polish athletes: Andreas Wank, Kamil Stoch, Michael Neumayer, Krzysztof Biegun and Richard Freitag. In his home race, Poland places five jumpers in the top-28, with Piotr Zyla sixteenth and Jan Ziobro twenty-eighth. Good result also for the seventeen years old Krzysztof Leja, thirty-second.
After three consecutive podium finishes, Matjaz Pungertar is ninth and confirms himself as the most in-shape slovenian at the moment. Behind him, Daiki Ito, a surprising Gregor Deschwanden and the inoxidable Noriaki Kasai. The first norwegian in Tom Hilde (fourteenth), while a half-service Austria places Andreas Kofler, Michael Hayboeck and Stefan Kraft respectively twentieth, twenty-second and twenty-third. Italy wasn't able to reach the second round, as Bresadola, Colloredo and Morassi finished thirty-third, fourtieth and fourty-fifth.
In less than two weeks, the SGP will be back in action in France, on the hills of Courchevel.
