WC in Planica: The last competition of the season is won by Jurij Tepes ahead of Velta and Prevc

Season 2012/2013 is officially ended! The best in Overall World Cup classification is Gregor Schlierenzauer, 2nd place belongs to Anders Bardal the winner from last year and 3rd to Kamil Stoch of Poland. It's the first podium of World Champion from Val di Fiemme in overall classification in career. The winner of the last competition was Jurij Tepes. The Slovenian with the jump at 217.0m and 214.0m was the best and it let him to take his first victory in carreer. 2nd was Rune Velta of Norway. He jumped at 207.5m and 217.5m. The lowest step of the podium after jumps at 218.0m and 212.5m belonged to Peter Prevc. The head coach of Slovenia can be really satisfied with performances of his athletes. Besides Tepes and Prevc, also Robert Kranjec (6th) and Andraz Pograjc (24th) presented a good jumps. It was a great weekend for all Slovenian fans. In Ski flying World Cup Robert Kranjec took 2nd place. Only Gregor Schlierenzauer was better than him. 3rd is Andreas Stjernen of Norway.
In top 10 of last competition in Planica we could see the legendery jumper from Japan Noriaki Kasai. He fell in the trial round but luckly could participate in the event. He took 4th place. 5th was Piotr Żyła of Poland. After first round he was 15th but his second jump at 216,0m was really great and let him to finished at better place. 6th ex aequo were Robert Kranjec of Slovenia and Denis Kornilov - the only Russian jumper in Planica. 8th was Kamil Stoch, 9th and 10th place belonged to two Germans Severin Freund and Michael Neumayer. Some kind of suprise can be fact that none of the Austrian jumpers could achieve a top 10 result. The best of them was 11th Gregor Schlierenzauer. Just next to him was the best Czech of the day Jan Matura. The only Italian jumper Sebastian Colloredo finished at 26th place.
The fight for victory in Nation's Cup between Austria and Norway lasted until the end. This time Alexander Stoeckl's athletes turned out to better. They overtook Austria only by 6 points. A big role in this victory has the second today Rune Velta. Nation's Cup of the season 2012/2013 won team Norway with 5605 points ahead of Austria (5599 points) and Germany (5199 points). Team Slovenia and team Poland were just behind the podium.
