First individual competition in Planica is a history now. This event was really special for one person - Gregor Schlierenzauer. He created his own big story - 50th individual victotries in WC! He won in a great style, after first jump at 217,5m "Schlieri" took the lead and didn't give it away till the end. His second jump at 213,5m maybe wasn't the longest but the adventages after first round and good points for style let him to won with 2nd Peter Prevc.

Young Slovenian took two really good jumps at 214,0 and 215,5m. It was great that he took so good place on his own hill ahead of his own crowd! The lowest step of the podium belonged to Piotr Żyła. It seems that the Pole after first in his carrer win in Oslo will be next jumper beside of Kamil Stoch which will usually makes Polish fans and head coach Łukasz Kruczek really proud. Żyła showed two good jumps at 212,5m and 216,5m and won with 2,6 points of adventages with 4th Noriaki Kasai. The legendary jumper from Japan was really close to the podium. 5th and 6th place belonged to Jurij Tepes and Robert Kranjec of Slovenia. 7th was Andreas Stjernen, 8th Maciej Kot, 9th Severin Freund and 10th Jan Matura.

It is worth to notice that the only jumper from Estonia got the best results in his carrer today! After first round Kaarel Nurmsalu was 9th and finally he ended at 13th place. It is a big succes for him. Also well 14th place took only French jumper Vincent Descombes Sevoie. The one Bulgarian in the WC Cup ended at 16th place.

Due to not the best performences of Norway and Germany jumpers they lost many points in Nation's Cup to the leader Austria. The best athlete from Norway was today 7th Andreas Stjernen. The places of the rest: 15th Anders Bardal, 22th Anders Jacobsen, 23th Kim Rene Elverum Sorsell, 25th Rune Velta and 26th Anders Fannemel. Alexander Stockl can't be happy after this competition. We can say the same about Werner Schuster, the coach of Germany. Only 2 German ski jumpers qualified to the 2nd round: 9th Severin Freund and 19th Andreas Wellinger.

In contrast to both this trainers really satisfied can be Łukasz Kruczek of Poland and Goran Janus of Slovenia. Their jumpers ended at really good places. The Poles Maciej Kot and Kamil Stoch were 8th and 11th. Four jumpers of Slovenia were in 20. and 3 of them in top 10! I think they have really big chances to win in a last team competition in this season.

The conditions on the hill was variable. Anders Jacobsen was the "victim" of a strong wind. Sympathetic jumper from Norway have fallen and something happend with his knee. According to Berkutschi Skijumping's facebook he suffered an ACL rupture. Really sad end of the season for him. Hope he will get well soon!

Next and in the same time the last in this season individual competition will be on Sunday. Tomorrow (on Saturday) will be team comp which starts at 10:00 (CET). Don’t miss it!
