Anders Jacobsen wins the last qualification of the season

Planica (SLO) is the last qualification report of the winter season, last weekend of competitions. After five months and great emotions, ski jumping is coming to end also this year. The qualification round has been quite an adventure with the wind not making it easy for everyone, in fact it took almost two hours before the everything was done! But at least after that we’ve had a winner, someone who actually has made the first part of the winter season – especially the 4HT – an exciting ones, someone who came out from retirement and show to everyone who still have a lot to offer, someone who won the medal at the world championships! The winner of today is Anders Jacobsen. The Norwegian has managed to make it and won the qualifications, the non easy wind conditions. With a jump of 211.0 meters and 199.6 pts scored the Jacobsen has secured the last qualification of the season, finishing ahead of Antonin Hajek, and Severin Freund. This must been told that has been quite of a year for the Norwegian which has made the most of it, making one of the most incredible come back of the season. Quite of a surprise in the Norwegian team was the fact to see Tom Hilde not being able to qualify for this weekend competitions. But it didn’t went bad just for Tom Hilde some other big names won’t participate at this Saturday and Sunday races, like Denis Kornilov, Andreas Wank just to name a few. Despite the wind, the weather looked fine with a nice crowd ready to cheer for their favourite ski jumpers one more time, before some well deserved time off from the competitions. [@KokkaMufc]
