The World-Championships in Val di Fiemme: And the qualification goes to: Wolfgang Loitzl

The experienced Austrian Wolfgang Loitzl (33) could secure himself the victory in yesterday's qualification with a jump of 125m and a total score of 135.9points. Close behind him landed Michael Neumayer with 124.5m (133.2points). The man with the most exciting comeback of this year, Thomas Morgenstern completed the top three with 123.5m (129points).
Andreas Wank, who could use his time in Predazzo best to improve finished fourth (122m; 128.5points). He wakes hopes for a fantastic German result today.
Best Polish jumper has been Maciej Kot, who claims to be the second best Pole (121m; 126.6points). Is is followed by a line of strong Japanese jumpers, consisting of Taku Takeuchi (121.5m), Nori Kasai (120m) and Daiki Ito (119m).
Manuel Fettner, who fought himself to the team, can be satisfied with 121m and rank ten. Best Russian has been Alexey Romashov on the 12th place (118m), best Slovenian has been Jaka Hvala (14th) ahead of Lukas Hlava (15th). Sebastian Colloredo finished on the 19th place.
Carl Nordin (Sweden), Martti Nomme (Estonia), Radik Zhaparov and Roberto Dellasega managed to make the qualification as well.
Kilian Peier, Ronan Lamy-Chappuis, Alexander Mitz (Sweden) and Sami Heiskanen on the other hand had less luck. Greek jumper Nico Polychronidis was disqualified because of a wrong ski length.
Out of the group of prequalified athletes the best jump came from Peter Prevc (126m). Simon Ammann and Robert Kranjec didn't start.
