Jaka Hvala beat the rival at the Junior World Championships! Young Slovenian jumper showed how great he is and won with Klemens Murańka by almost 20 points!
29/01/2013 11:40 Yesterday's (24-01-2013) competition in Liberec was completely dominated by Jaka Hvala. He took the lead after first round with the longest jump (in the whole competition) - 103,0m and he didn’t give the chance to anyone else also in 2nd round with brilliant jump at 102,0m. It allowed him to win a gold medal and first in his career the Junior World Championship title. After amazing show sympathetic jumper from Slovenia said: "My goal was to win this competition. I wanted to see how I can handle the pressure and it seems that I was able to handle it well. Of course I'm extremely happy." The winner of silver medal - Klemens Murańka also showed at how high level he is. Now there's no sing after his serious eyes problem (not so long ago he had to undergo to avoid going blind!). Young Pole jump at 101,0m and 96,0m. Here's how he summed his performance up: "I'm very happy about my result today. I was able to show two good jumps and I really hoped that I could win a medal. I want to thank my coaches and everyone who supported me." Third step of the podium belonged to Stefan Kraft from Austria: "It was not so easy to cope with the conditions today. The tailwind makes everything more difficult. My first jump (99,0m) was pretty good and I was able to repeat it also in final round (95,5m). I'm happy with this bronze medal." Really close to 3rd place was young jumper from Poland - Bartłomiej Kłusek after his jumps at 99,0m and 96,5m. He took longer jumps than Kraft but he lost to him 0,5 point for style (Kraft 258,5 and Kłusek 258,0 points). Slightly disappointed with his performance surely must be Andreas Wellinger. After his 100,0m jump in the first round he took 3rd place - he lost only to Hvala and Murańka - but his second jump (95,0m) made that he was not able to keep his position and finished in 5th place.
