Anders Bardal- Skijumpingitaly © Kathrin Müller Norge above all: Anders Jacobsen is back to victory after his first two wins of the season in Oberstdorf and Garmisch. After yesterday huge disappointment for the Norwegians in the team competition, Alexander Stöckl and his guys are back to smile today after the impressive double they’ve made today in Zakopane thanks to Anders Jacobsen and Anders Bardal has finished at the 1st and 2nd place respectively. Norway, week in week out placing their athletes on the podium, and this seems it won’t stop anytime soon. Anders Jacobsen is at his third win of the season after the extraordinary come back in ski jumping he has made this season. After winning the first two competitions at the 4HT this year, today Jacobsen has pull it off another great display on jumps which have now brought him in the 3rd place of the overall WC standing table, right above Severin Freund. The race was mostly dominated by the polish ski jumpers during the first round starting with the young Jan Ziobro which opened the dance floor, with a 129.0 in the first round and kept him in the lead for a while but unfortunately he didn’t managed to repeat himself in the final round and missed out the chance to finish in the Top 10, ending at the 20th place. Gregor Schlierenzauer was back today after he had to miss the competitions in Wisla and the team competition in Zakopane yesterday due to a virus. After a 15th place provisional has managed to fought back in the final round with a 129 meters jump and finished at the 8th place. From good to worse: Disappointing Dimitri Vassiliev , the Russian (the only one along Alexey Romashow 28th, to take part at the final round since both Rosliakov and Kornilov didn’t managed to qualify for it) in the first round with a jump of 132 meters and 134pts, was 6th but just like the young Ziobro Vassiliev couldn’t repeat himself in the final round jumping ten meters less (122) and finished 16th. Kamil Stoch on the podium in Zakopane: Kamil Stoch which was 1st after the first round of jumps, couldn’t make it against and the incredible duo from Norway today and finished third. The polish ski jumper is improving race after race finding the shape and today’s podium was just another way to show it. On other news: Sarah Hendrickson has won today’s competition in Hinterzarten ahead of Japanese Sarah Takanashi and the French starlet Colin Mattel. A sad note from Hinterzarten is the injury occurred to Daniela Iraschko. The Austrian ski jumper seems to have broken her left knee ligaments after she fell after the landing during today’s race. We wish to Daniela a speedy recovery on her knee. [@KokkaMufc]
