What will be the future of the Finnish team this season?

The finnish team in the Auta Miestä Mäessä spot.
The season didn’t really start that well for Pekka Niemelä and Co., as the national head coach has to face the sad truth that two of his ski-jumpers are not aviable, Anssi Koivuranta currently out (the date of his come back is still unknown) of the team with a knee injury and Janne Happonen also out for the rest of the season after the surgery he had in Kuopio due to a fall in Lillehammer last weekend. The last couple of years haven’t been so nice to the Finnish team in terms of luck. Continued troubles with one of their top jumpers -Harri Olli- (which first retired to make his come back this season), the amount of injuries suffered by the team, from Ahonen after his come back, to Ville Larinto, passing by Janne Happonen ending up with Anssi Koivuranta. To not mention the lack of money the federation is surrounded with at the moment, which is also not helping at all. A few days before the start of the new season, the Finnjumping.fi posted a video of the guys, (a spot for the upcoming season), where they had to face it with bad luck (their van ran out of gas, so they had to push the van, it is also possible to see Pekka Niemelä sewing old ski-jumping suits) still they didn’t gave up, even when it seemed that everything is against them. Here’s the video Auta Miestä Mäessä. Now I don’t really know why but there was something in that video that really touched me, their will to never give up, despite all the adversities. Everyone is focused on an unique goal, as team of course. It’s like not matter what but they gonna get through this together. Few days after I saw this video, what did I find out? That than their bad luck was still there, that without any compassion for the guys or their fans hit the finnish team once again.
Regarding this I thought to ask some questions to Ville Kantee. Skijumpingitaly: Hello Ville and thank you for your time, I know it’s probably not the best time for answering a few questions. But let’s start with the most important, how’s Janne? How does he cope with this injury?
VK: Happonen had operation yesterday and he is doing fine.Haven't talk with him after the operation. Heard that he recieved 400 calls yesterday during anestesia. Janne's injury has been really big thing in finnish media.
SJI: The last few years haven’t been so lucky for you guys in terms of injuries. Do you think it's just a matter of bad luck or also the continued changes imposed by the FIS?
VK: It's unbelievable how bad luck we have had. FIS is doing their best for ski jumping and if i or our team sees some problems with their progress, we talk with them. Media is not the right place to talk about these issues.
SJI: Finland currently has two athletes out, will Anssi be able to make his come back for the 2012/2013 season?
VK: Anssi is doing his daily rehabilitation at the moment. He will be back when he is ready. If he is going to come back this season, it would be great. No hurry at the moment.
SJI: Harri Olli decided to make his come back into ski jumping this season, does this mean there is a chance for him now to be part of the “A team" again? Or will you guys rely on the youngsters? VK: I hope all the best for Harri. I also wish he gets some kind of balance to his life. After that comes ski jumping. Many thanks to Ville, who has found the time to answer some of our questions.I do really hope that from now on the Finnish team will have a blast of a season with not more bad surprises.
