Mixed team see Italy jump of their first team podium!

A new ski jumping season has began today in Lillehammer, and even if i cannot really write about the competition as i've missed it because of work, i couldn’t keep myself to write about my happiness for the incredible result by Italy today.

This is an important result for the Azzurri, both for the ladies and the boys.

The signal of improvement was clear already for the past two seasons now but this... reaching one of the three top spot in the game, I’m more than sure this is the most amazing day for the whole team and for all the people who never stopped to believe in them. Sebastian Colloredo said : "We had a great feeling, we have shown during the race to be a real team, both in competition and off the hills. This result gives us a great charge. My first jump was standard enough fluid. Frankly do not understand the second, but I shot it all in, I gained height and I got very long. The fall? I made two good jumps, we trained a lot during the summer, from a certain point of view, I expected to do well, although I honestly did not expect so much. Saturday the goal is to pull out two more beautiful jumps also in the individual race! " [Source Fisi.org] This is only the begin of a new era for Italy I can smell it, and it’s quite amazing, this result meant a lot in terms of confidence and understanding about what this team can actually do. They do not just jumped on the podium as team but doing so they also left behind nations like Austria, Finland, Russia, Slovenia. As Italian (and I know I should be impartial) I couldn’t be more happy and proud of this result and these amazing athletes that made it possible.
