So here we are, the first ever mixed team event took place yesterday in Courchevel and we all seen Japan finishing on top of the podium. I personally found myself a bit bored but also excited about this competition, I guess I didn’t know what to expect from it, and I guess I need to get use to it if I wanna appreciate it much better than what I did yesterday. What I liked the MT was the good compensation some teams get with the addition of the ladies, like Italy for example who finished 6th in a team event, thing I guess I never seen happen with the men since I follow ski jumping. It will be interesting to see the MT competition on the snow I really looking forward to Lillehammer in November, that will be the first test before the WSC will take place in February in Predazzo. Japan above all! Japan we are sure has left France heading to Hinterzarten on a high spirit. The Japanese has had a good few days showing their has improved a lot and the results gained by the likes of Taku Takeuchi and Daiki Ito weren’t just like a comet who passed by for not reasons at all the past season. Reruhi Shimizu joined on the podium by Andreas Wank and Tom Hilde today in Courchevel (Photo by Berkutschi.com) Today the 18 year old Shimizu has won his first main competition leaving behind the ones like Hilde (third) , Wank (second) Watase, Ammann and Prevc, just to name a few. But today it wasn’t only emerged the good result by the young Japanese but also from France with Nicolas Mayer and his 6th place. That is for sure the best result for team France in a the last two years (WC and SGP). Norway plus Hilde secured result: Tom Hilde continue to keep high the flag for Norway, the young Norwegian the best amongst his team mates, today finished third, and maybe only the bad landing (he failed to keep the telemark) led to a low score missing out the first victory of the season. Next stop Hiza where SkiJumpingItaly will be there live with @pikayartistso stay tuned!
