Skijumpingitaly: Hello Line! Thanks for joining us, how are you?

Line Jahr: I am fine, thank you. Just done with the two jumping sessions for today in Midtstuen.

Sji: How's your training season going? Ready for new challenges?

Lj: The training is going very well. My shape is getting better and better. In fact, one of my goals this spring was to increase the oxygen uptake, so I've done a lot of interval training this spring and summer. And I feel I can do more when I am training power, and that the quality is getting better. So I feel everything is going the right way. The jumping is also getting better and better, so I am really satisfied these days.

Sji: Just a few weeks until the first ever mixed team event in Courchevel. Are you excited about it?

Lj: Yes! I am really excited for that. I thinks it's going to be a lot of fun to compete with the boys. One of my goals this summer is to be in the team. We had a mixed team comp with the boys when we where at a training camp in Sweden, and I loved it. It was one girl and one boy in a team. My teammate was Anders Fannemel.

Sji: This year is going to be a busy one with the WSC in Predazzo, what are your expectations? What are your goals in general for the near future?

Lj: I expect that I will jump on my best level in the WSC in Predazzo. And then we will see what place that would be.... And of course, I want to be a part of the team in the mixed team comp.

SJI: Are you looking forward to jump from large hills in the following season?

LJ: Yes, I like to fly so it's going to be fun to jump in bigger hills. I just hope the weather God will be nice to us in Holmenkollen.

Sji: 2013 Predazzo, 2014 Sochi... How do you see the Norwegian team?

LJ: I see the team as a strong team. I know we have a high potential.

SJI: Do you ever talk of what it means to finally have the chance to compete at the Olympic Games as a woman in ski-jumping?

LJ: That will probably be one of the last things I will do in my ski jumping career, so my big goal is to do well in the Olympics. It would be the best thing to quit as an Olympic champion. We also got more support here in Norway after they decided that we can go to the Olympics.

SJI: When you have been named for the national team for the upcoming season, it was said that both men and female jumpers will work together in a closer way. What does that mean for your daily training or camps?

LJ: My opinion is that training with the boys makes us better. After the last season we wanted to train more with the boys. I have been training with the boys for many years, but now we are going to have the daily training and jumping together with the boys. That means that we will train together with the boys in Lillehammer- like Tom Hilde, Anders Fannemel, Kenneth Gangnes and so on. We also have some camps together with the boys' team. I think we can learn a lot from what they are doing.

SJI: What is your opinion on the new body mass index for the girls? Does it affect you, that it was raised from 20.5 to 21 and is now the same as for the male jumpers?

LJ: Hmmm. Yes, it will affect me. I think I have to jump on shorter skies if I am not able to build more muscles.

SJI: The beginning of the COC season is characterized by a lot of disqualifications. What is your opinion on the new jumping suits?

LJ: I think it's strange that so many boys get disqualified. I really want to know why they get disqualified. I also see it as a big challenge to be sure that the suit is 0 cm after you have been jumping one or two jumps, because the material is getting bigger after just a little while... So right now there's more focus on the suit than it has even been. It means that you have to check your suit and sew it in before each comp. For me it's no problem because I know how to handle a sewing machine, but I have to spend more time on the suit.

SJI: Did you ever tell, what made you start ski-jumping? How old have you been?

LJ: I have three brothers, who were ski jumpers. One of them is my twin brother. After he started to ski jump I also had to do it. I was five years when I started.

SJI: What ski-jumping hill do you like most?

LJ: The big hill in Zakopane.

SJI: Of all the competitions you took part in, which one was the best for you?

LJ: The first comp in Zao this year. When I got the 4th place.

SJI: Do you have idols?

LJ: Yes, I do. In ski jumping it's Tom Hilde, but in general it's Jack Sparrow. I just love the movies Pirates of the Caribbean.

SJI: What do you do to mentally prepare yourself before you jump down a hill?

LJ: I think through my tasks. And I know if I do my tasks well, I will survive….hehe.

SJI: Let's skip a bit the jumping... What do you like to do when you're not jumping?

LJ: Actually I hardly have any free time beside jumping, training and working. I am not earning enough money on ski jumping yet, so I have to work. I work almost every day when I am at home. So it's really nice to go to camps and comps because then I'm off from work. SJI: What would you like the fans to know about you? Do you have an advice for young jumpers or some words to your fans in general?

LJ: That I have a twin brother. And that I'm actually well educated with three years of studying Economy, three years of management, one year of studying laws and two more years with a master in innovation and business development. If you are a young jumper you should just follow your heart, and don't let anyone tear you down.

SJI: You recently started to blog in English. What made you do this? Do you think using social media has a positive affect for the image and reach of ski-jumping?

LJ: I started to blog for about one year ago. At first I only blogged in Norwegian just for a start, but now I want more readers so I decided to write some posts in English so people that don't understand Norwegian also can read my blog. So I hope they will (smile) I also blog because I want people to get to know me better and get an impression on how I am as a person. I think it's easier to have my blog because then I can write it exactly as I want, and not being misinterpreted in the media. And also it would have been nice to maybe earn some money on my blog from advertisement.

SJI: Did you already make any plans for the “after ski-jumping” ?

LJ: I will start working and earn a lot of money….haha , and I also want to have kids. I hope I will get twins.
