Norwegian ladies‘ team announced!
The ladies’ team of the Norwegians was officially announced this morning.
Besides the best Norwegian female jumper Anette Sagen, Line Jahr, Gyda Enger, young Maren Lundby, Jenny Synnøve Hagemoen and Synne Steen Hansen will build the A-team. Head coach will still be Christian Meyer with assistant Erik Renmælmo.
The youth team will consist of Karoline Røtad, Anna Odine Strøm, Maria Beisvåg and Marte Pauline Skinnes. Rune Rebne will be their coach. National coach Meyer explains: “A lot of these girls showed an awesome development and convinced in training. We have a really young team and a lot of them have great capability.”
Furthermore team manager Clas Brede Bråthen believes close collaboration with the men’s team in preparation for the new season is the key to success: “The ladies will exercise more with the men in their daily basic training and also the teams themselves will collaborate closer.” As he said, this is reasonable because there will be some mixed-competitions during the next season.
Christian Meyer is also confident about the idea of a collective training: “If we manage to get the technical level of the men’s team and be as offensive as them with every training, we will have a huge advantage in the ladies’ world elite.”
