Simply Matti: Matti Hautamaeki has confirmed he is retiring

As already announced yesterday today will be the last day of competitions, ever for Matti Hautamaeki.

The finnish ski jumper has announced his decision to retire yesterday on a finnish tv (mtv3), it was in the air that that would have been his last season for the 30 year old ski jumper. His records : World record holder in Planica back in 2005 with 235.5 m 16 wins in the WC, World championships (1 gold medal, 3 silver medals) , SFWC Matti won 4 medals ( 3 silvers 2 bronze medals) Olympics he has won 4 medals as well 3 silver and one bronze medal. He has had 63 world cup podiums (39 individual 24 with the team) 23 victories (16 individual 7 with the team) 20 second places (10 individual and 10with the team) 20 third places (13 individual and 7 with the team)

He has won the Nordic Tournament twice in 2002 and 2005 with six victories, two second places, one third place.
