Sarah Hnedrickson, this name has officially entered in the sport history books last weekend. The young american ski jumper is the first woman ever to with the first ladies World Cup title.
This is a new achievement for the female ski jumping considering that only two years ago IOC made it clear there wasn’t any chance for the ladies to participate at the Olympic Games in Canada, though things have changed since then, and now the ladies have been finally allowed to compete at the next OG in Sochi in 2014.
- She is not the first American female ski jumper who made the history in this sport, Lindsey Van became the first world champion at the NWC in Harrachov in 2009.
The number of fans for the ladies ski jumping is growing up very fast, and it’s quite clear that for the followers of this sport, is good to have the two sides of the medal (men and females) who made it possible for the fans to enjoy this sport live or sit from home.
