The Ski Flying world-championship in Vikersund is over and you are probably still stoked and thinking about it. But we have a new week ahead – with a lot of great events waiting for us:
On Friday there’s the qualification for the WC-competition in Lahti (19:00 LOC, 18:00 CEST) and for the COC men in Predazzo, with competitions on Saturday (Lahti: 18:00 LOC, 17:00 CEST) and Sunday (Lahti: 12:00 LOC, 11:00 CEST) each. So cross your fingers for Andreas Stjernen, who won all 3 competitions in Oslo the weekend before.
The ladies will spend the weekend in Zao, Japan for their next-to-last WC competition with qualification of Friday, 2 competitions on Saturday (one replacing Szczyrk’s cancelled competition) and one on Sunday! Watch Sarah Hendrickson and Daniela Iraschko fight to win the overall worldcup of the ladies, that takes place for the first time in history!
And for those of you, who think, it’s too long to wait for the weekend:
Some nice pictures of Vikersund’s competitions are online on berkutschi.com, some pictures and videos taken by Line Jahr (linejahr.com) and also some great interview’s by Thiele and Siegmund on youtube.com/skisprungtv- for those of you knowing some German. Also Tom Hilde and Thomas Morgenstern updated their websites (tom-hilde.com, thomasmorgenstern.com)!
By the way: Don’t be sad that the season is almost over, we’re giving you the dates for the Summer Grand Prix 2012 for the ladies and men soon!
