Vikersund, ski flying world championships or now the flying are always so emotional especially when jumpers like Robert Kranjec takes the lead and show to the world why he is described as one of the best flyer around! The Slovenian has won the today’s competition ahead of Rune Velta (surprinsingly second) and Martin Koch third. It was a crazy day wich saw two jumpers, getting close to the world record set last year by the now retired Joahn Remen Evensen. Robert Kranjec (244.0) and Anders Fannemel (244.5) both jumped far enough to reach the 244 and more, only few meters away from the current world record. I personally never been to a ski flying competition but I wanna go so bad, the emotions who comes out from the ski flying events must be totally different. Robert Kranjec is not new to these kind of results especially on LH or FH, where he is able to give his best and this is also why makes this victory tasting even better, the fact that for once it wasn’t all about Austria, with at least three different nations on the podium along with an “unexpected” one on it. Those championships didn’t had the best start with yesterday cancelation of the race due to the strong wind, but today as many of you probably seen the show had not the same amount of problems as yesterday. Final competition tomorrow with the team event and judging by the results today should be all up between Norway and Austria with Solvenia trying to win the second team competition in a row. - Staying in Norway, Norwegian ski jumping showing to be more alive than ever. At the Junior WC in Erzurum, Norway with Espen Roee, Mats Berggaard, Simen Grimsrud and Phillip Sjoeen has won the gold medal at the team event, while at the COC in Wisla, Robert Joahnsson finished at the second place behind Austrian Manuel Fettner.
